Danny Webb Sponsorship: Isle of Man TT

As you may remember, we began sponsoring Danny Webb earlier this year and have been following him through his various races and competitions ever since. Most recently Danny competed in the Isle of Man TT race and has sent us in a few updates regarding his last race and what is next for him.

At the Isle of Man TT race, Danny competed in the TT lightweight Class and took tenth position over the duration of the weekend. Danny was extremely happy with his result and says he couldn’t have done it without his dedicated pit crew, supportive team or committed fans.

The practice week began with a worrying start when he found a few problems with the suspension and gearing on the bike, however the expert team of mechanics quickly identified the problem as a leaky steering damper. Once it was replaced, all problems were solved and fortunately the rest of the weekend ran smoothly, and without any problems.

In hindsight, Danny believes competing with two bikes in two different classes would have better served him. Next year he plans on entering in the Supersport Class too, in order to make the most of the track, have more track time and to gain more competition experience. Although having only one bike was a small disadvantage, Danny wasn’t disappointed with the overall result from the weekend.

Next year Danny will be looking forward to another strong finish, to continue on from his great result this year and hopefully climb a place or two. Danny will spend a couple of weeks relaxing before embarking on his rigorous training plan, strict diet and daily riding program once more, in preparation for the next season of races.

Danny would like to send his best wishes and kindest thoughts to Jamie Hamilton and his loved ones, who crashed badly during the race. Fortunately, although Jamie has some extremely serious injuries, they are not “life threatening” and he has now been flown to a hospital in his native Ireland.

Danny also sends his regards to the family of Franck Petricola, who unfortunately didn’t recover from his crash during the qualifying races.

Follow Danny on Twitter to learn more about any upcoming appearances, races or competitions – or just to follow Danny throughout the year whilst he trains for the next season. Danny would like to thank all of his fans and supporters, without whom he would not be in the position he is today – and let them know how much the support meant to him throughout the year.

At National Pallets we are extremely proud of Danny and how well he has performed this season – and we are really looking forward to following him through another season.

Susan Brooks of National Pallets had this to say about Danny and his exciting season:  “I am so pleased for Danny, after the issues of last season following his accident, he has worked very hard to regain his full fitness level.  He has certainly come back this season with great determination and this is being reflected in the results. “
