Now checkout faster & safely with stored payment details

We've enhanced our service in the handling of credit and debit card payments to allow customers - if they choose - to store their card details securely for future transactions.

Customers can now decide, if they wish, to save their credit or debit card details during the online checkout process for orders with National Pallets. As well as being convenient, this option is totally secure; the card details are stored on the servers of our online payment partner – the well-known brand, Sage Pay – rather than on any of our own systems.

Benefits to our customers

The facility to store card details allows the ordering process to be completed even faster, which may be useful for customers with time-critical collections. In addition, customers do not need to have their cards present when placing an order, which may be convenient when customers are out of the office and using mobile devices to place orders.

Compliant & Secure

Our security measures are handled by our payment partner, Sage Pay, which is a renowned and trusted brand for online transactions. National Pallets neither sees nor records customers card details, and nor does anyone else besides Sage Pay. All Sage Pay payment pages are regularly audited by an independent auditor to make sure that they comply with the latest security standards. Sage Pay is PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards) compliant. This means that they hold a PCI certificate and comply with a set of standards designed to help protect businesses and shoppers from data theft and fraud.

Staying safe online

Of course, all the usual safeguards about paying online apply, so remember to beware of any ‘phishing’ e-mails from fraudulent parties - especially if purporting to be Sage Pay or National Pallets - that try to direct you to fake websites set up to collect your payment card details. You only need to enter your card details once – during the order process on the National Pallets website - and neither National Pallets nor Sage Pay will ever e-mail you asking for your card details.

A padlock image in the browser window frame indicates that your details are being collected securely using 128-bit SSL technology (Secure Sockets Layer is a cryptographic protocol designed to provide communication security over the Internet). Clicking on the padlock symbol will show you the SSL certificate. If you cannot see the padlock, make sure that the URL starts with 'https' instead of 'http' - the extra 's' stands for ‘secure’.

How does it work?

When placing your order with National Pallets, at the end of the payment process you will be given the option to save your card details - this is a choice, not a requirement. If you have more than one credit or debit card that you may wish to use, you can save any number of different sets of card details for use in future transactions.
